about me – about me – about me – about me –
about me – about me – about me – about me –

Welcome! 👋

I'm really passionate about creating digital experiences that are thoughtful and well-crafted.

My work is all about turning those fine details into cohesive design systems that really connect with users.

Outside of work (my hobbies), I love diving into personal projects where I can do deep research and create visually unique pieces. Looking to the future, I'm excited to explore the human experience through design. I believe that by collaborating, we can create meaningful and lasting designs that truly matter.

– my

work

process

01

scope

I start by defining the project scope by understanding the problem space, setting clear objectives, and identifying key stakeholders. This phase ensures alignment on goals, timelines, and deliverables, providing a solid foundation for the entire UX process.
02

Strategy

I develop a comprehensive strategy by conducting research, analyzing user needs, and studying market trends. This step involves creating personas, user journeys, and experience maps to guide the project direction and ensure user-centric solutions.
03

Ideation

I Generate a wide range of ideas through brainstorming sessions, sketching, and collaborative workshops. This creative phase focuses on exploring multiple solutions, fostering innovation, and selecting the most promising concepts for further development.
04

Validation

I Validate concepts through user testing, prototyping, and feedback loops. This step involves iterating on designs based on user insights, ensuring the solutions are effective, intuitive, and aligned with user expectations and business goals.
05

design

Finally, I Refine and finalize the design by creating detailed wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes. This phase emphasizes visual design, interaction patterns, and usability, culminating in a polished product ready for development and implementation.

– my

hobbies

In my free time, I love exploring the world of 3D printing. There are so many parallels between visual design and 3D printing—both involve the creation and bringing ideas to life in a tangible way.

I like designing and refining models, experimenting with new techniques, and printing complex structures that push the limits of hardware. This hands-on experience enhances my understanding of user-centric design and problem-solving.

Ian running in a marathon.

I also enjoy running and make it part of my morning routine. I started running during the early days of the pandemic, so I consider myself relatively new to it. I like getting out for some fresh air and also compete in local races.

As a designer, I'm fascinated by the mental models of athletes and what drives them. I recently read Scott Jurek's book, 'Eat and Run,' which delves into his journey with deep self-reflection. Jurek, an ultra runner, comes across not as a superman but as a relatable figure, making the book both insightful and inspiring. I highly recommend it!✌️🏃
